Instructions for Connecting to the Shibogama Mail Server

E-mail Setup

1. Depending on e-mail software being used. Netscape has an e-mail program built-in. Microsoft Explorer uses Inbox, Outlook or Internet Mail.

2. You will need to find the Preferences, Options or Mail setup to change the e-mail setup.

3. Set your Outgoing Mail or SMTP server to: mail.shibogama.on.ca

4. Set your Incoming Mail or POP3 server to: mail.shibogama.on.ca

5. Advanced Option:

   • Outgoing mail server requires authentication, check this option.

   • The mail server does support SSL for those who prefer to have an encrypted connection to the mail server

     Incoming: SSL

     Outgoing: TLS

   • You can change the outgoing mail server port to 587 if you travel. As most places block port 25.
